Alicia and Winner Grasso stared at their dream home for years. Literally.
"We'd sit outside and swill wine and imagine what we'd do to the house" if the owners ever sold, says Alicia Grasso, 33, marketing pilot for the Cape May Stage theater company.
Before they married, they rented a beach bungalow across the thoroughfare from the house they hoped one day to make their own. (They live in North Cape May year-globate.)
Both dwellings were one-story beach cottages built in the 1950s. Both were just a few blocks from the bank. But in that house across the street they saw more potential.
"It's hard to find places in South Jersey that have trees close the water," says Victor, 32, an artist who works on commissioned projects and shows his paintings in New York and Miami. The lot also had a bigger yard, and a d garage he could turn into his work studio.

FERNDALE - When John Wilson unequivocal to move Wilson's Furniture to its new showroom on Pacific Highway north of Bellingham four years ago, he was a bit strung out about what it would mean to his customer base.
The new building, assembled by Faber Brothers Construction, was bigger and offered a improve design than the space he moved from in Bellingham's Fountain District, but he was moving out of an established retail parade-ground. While he was getting better visibility by being near Interstate 5, the best off-grade to his store isn't immediately apparent to people new to the area.
Four years later, Wilson knows it was the truth move.
"I've been very happy with the move; it's exceeded my expectations," said Wilson, who estimates his business is up 20 percent from where he was before the move, regardless of the change in the economy.
